CALL FOR PAPERS
The 14th International Symposium on Chinese Languages and Linguistics (IsCLL-14) will be held on June 4-6, 2014, hosted by the Institute of Linguistics, Academia Sinica. For two decades, the biennial IsCLL conferences have brought together linguists working on Chinese languages and linguistics, each time under a specified conference theme. With the main theme “Genetic Relationships among East-Asian Languages”, the upcoming IsCLL-14 will be devoted to one of the core issues of historical linguistics with a focus on genetic relationships of languages such as Sino-Tibetan, Austronesian, Kam-Tai, Miao-Yao, Mon-Khmer, and Altaic languages. You are cordially invited to submit abstracts related to the following themes:
Methodology in genetic linguistics
Language relationships among Chinese dialects
Genetic Relationships among East-Asian Languages
Typology and genetic relationships
Abstracts should be anonymous. Please do not reveal author identity in the abstract or filename. Abstracts should not exceed 4 pages in length (references and data may be appended to the abstract). Submissions are limited to two abstracts per author, at most one single-authored and one co-authored abstracts. Please submit your abstract via the IsCLL-14 online submission system. Authors with their abstracts accepted are committed to submitting full papers written exclusively for IsCLL-14. Registration fee will be waived for one author of each accepted paper. Selected papers will be published in a Special Issue in Language and Linguistics, an SSCI- and A&HCI-indexed journal.
